As the Technology Lead for K3 Capital Group's Malaysia office, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple delivery teams and projects.

You will define and uphold architecture and coding standards, guide technical decision-making, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable, while partnering closely with the Head of Applications and Architecture.

Working closely with the Head of Applications and Architecture you will act as a design authority, balancing speed of delivery with long-term sustainability and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Application Standards: Define and maintain application architecture standards, code patterns, and reference designs.

• Application Design: Ensure consistency across frontend, backend, integration, and data access patterns.

• CrossProject Technical Leadership: Provide consistent technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment to shared standards, patterns, and architectural principles.

• FrontEnd Development: Define UI architecture, state management approaches, and accessibility standards.

• BackEnd Development: Design end-to-end application solutions across frontend, backend, and integrations.

• UI/UX Feasibility: Validate designs, contribute implementation options and advocate “accessibility for all”.

• Optimisation: Tune apps for speed, resilience, and scalability.

• Security: Embed “secure by design” principles and robust data protection in architectural standards.

• API Design & Management: Define API standards including versioning, security, lifecycle management, and documentation.

• API Architecture: Ensure APIs are designed for internal reuse and safe external consumption.

• Project Delivery: Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability.

• Technical Architecture: Shape and implement scalable designs aligned to business needs, patterns, and best practices.

• Best Practices: Define and maintain coding standards and review practices, conducting code reviews where needed while enabling and mentoring senior developers to take ownership of daytoday reviews.

• Version Control: Own our Git branching strategy and uphold disciplined code reviews.

• Innovation & Technical Discussions: Drive improvements across the tech stack, processes, and system architecture.

• Mentoring & Management: Guide teams on implementation choices without being the primary delivery resource.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Contribute to robust, repeatable release pipelines across dev, UAT, and production.

Essential Skills & Tech Stack

• Strong experience in modern frontend frameworks (React or equivalent) and backend development using one or more of .NET, Python, or PHP, with the ability to review, guide, and set standards.

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred), with working knowledge of AWS and GCP concepts, services and architectural patterns.

• Proven experience as an Application Architect or Tech Lead in modern web platforms.

• Hands on Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).

• Proven experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML).

• Strong stakeholder communication skills, able to explain complex technical decisions to non-technical audiences.
