The Opportunity

Own the engineering quality bar across front‑end and .NET back‑end delivery. You’ll design pragmatic solutions, ship fast, and scale securely working closely with the Head of Applications and Architecture and the UK based Lead Developer.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in partnership with these key stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and align with organisational goals.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Work closely with UK teams and with the UK Lead Developer to ensure alignment on strategy and processes.

• Front‑End Development: Design and build modern, accessible UIs with React, Angular, Vue.js, and Next.js.

• Back‑End Development: Write reusable, testable NodeJS and .NET (C#) services and maintain high‑quality application code.

• UI/UX Feasibility: Validate designs, contribute implementation options, and advocate “accessibility for all.”

• Optimisation: Tune apps for speed, resilience, and scalability.

• Security: Embed “secure by design” principles and robust data protection in every release.

• API Design & Management: Design versioned APIs, ensure backward compatibility for internal and external consumers.

• Project Delivery: Ship modules aligned to the delivery profile and architecture, following the organisation’s change process.

• Technical Architecture: Shape and implement scalable designs aligned to business needs, patterns, and best practices.

• Best Practices: Champion coding standards and maintain a clean, high‑quality application portfolio.

• Version Control: Own our Git branching strategy and uphold disciplined code reviews.

• Innovation & Technical Discussions: Drive improvements across the tech stack, processes, and system architecture.

• Mentoring & Management: Coach mid‑level and junior engineers—grow capability, confidence, and craft.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Contribute to robust, repeatable release pipelines across dev, UAT, and production.

Essential Skills & Tech Stack

• 5+ years commercial .NET (C#) experience.

• Experience leading a multi disciplined team.

• Hands‑on Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).

• Expert in .NET 8, C#, React, SQL, Azure.

• Proven experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML).
