TAX ASSOCIATE, FAMILY & WEALTH (Personal Tax)
K3TA is the tax advisory business of the K3 Capital Group of professional services. We are focused on transaction, restructuring, and advisory work and are a leading provider of tax advice to the mid-market transactions sector. As part of our mission to grow our team of skilled tax advisers, we are looking to welcome a Tax Associate in our Family and Wealth Team.
Within the K3 Capital Group, we work alongside our colleagues in M&A, tax investigation, and forensic accounting teams. K3 Capital operates across 30+ UK offices and 6 overseas locations and continues to grow through acquisition of complementary businesses.
K3TA is looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in pursuing a career in tax. The ideal candidate would have some previous experience within personal tax or IHT, Trusts and Estates work. However entry-level candidates will also be considered, as on the job training will be provided. There will be potential for support with professional tax exams (ATT / CTA pathway).
The role will require you to support colleagues to provide clients with advice on all aspects of personal tax planning, capital gains tax advice, residency and offshore trust advice, and inheritance tax planning.
We are advisory focused, meaning no two pieces of work will be the same, but we also have a small portfolio of complex self-assessment tax returns each tax year.
What you will be doing?
• Drafting tax advice for review by more senior team members
• Supporting our transaction tax team in relation to shareholders personal tax issues, including the preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
• Assisting senior team members with HMRC compliance checks and enquiries
• Preparation of computations related to personal tax
• Scoping and costing new projects
• Researching points of technical uncertainty
About you
• Interested in pursuing a career in tax, ideally with some relevant work experience
• Comfortable reviewing and analysing large volumes of numerical data
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (and Microsoft Office Suite generally)
• Confident undertaking research and presenting findings for others to consider
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines, with a confident (people focused personality), able to work well and advise those who are not necessarily familiar with tax implications

We have a remote-first culture, and our team are located across the UK, working mostly from home with occasional travel when required to meet client needs. We meet several times a year at team events to keep in touch with one another. We believe in trusting our people to understand how they work best and to manage their own time, travel, and workloads, enabling the team to maintain a great work-life balance while staying productive.
Working remotely in our team offer a supportive and flexible environment. We have weekly team check-in calls to stay connected, share updates, and support each other. Everyone is friendly and approachable, which makes collaboration and communication easy and enjoyable.
That being said, if you would like the opportunity to work in an office environment, we have hubs in London, Manchester, Guildford, where you would be more than welcome to base yourself.
